At Ramsgate Butterfly Valley, we specialize in South African butterflies.
Unlike most other butterfly farms which import pupae, we breed most of our own butterflies and are therefore able to present the entire life cycle of these amazing creatures to the public. For a fun and educational outing for the entire family, come and spend a relaxing few hours with us in our Valley of Butterflies.
We also organise school trips to Butterfly Valley.
What are the fees?
Adults R80.00 (ages 18+)
Scholars R60.00 (ages 11-17)
Children R40.00 (ages 3-10)
What is included in the fee?
Entrance fees include an informative half-hour slide presentation and a tour through our breeding center as well as a self-guided tour through our butterfly flight dome at your leisure. Also included is a visit to curious creatures, which houses unusual creatures such as tarantulas, scorpions, unusual reptiles etc.
How to find you?
Traveling in a southerly direction, Ramsgate is the next town after Margate.
Keep traveling south until you encounter a BP garage on the left-hand side of the road. At the garage turn inland away from the sea into Fascadale Road.
You will find us a Km up this road on the left-hand side.
Look out for the Butterfly Valley signage.
